The first day of school at Friendship Elementary was Friday, August 10th. Aidan started 4th grade with Mr. Cassels. This is the first year that he will switch classes for every subject (math, language arts, reading, science/social studies, art, music, computers, PE), Nolan started 1st grade with Mrs. Wilson. They also have a new teacher for their SEARCH (gifted) class. It's going to be a great year! We still have many more pool and water park days to look forward to in the next few weeks!
This is our year of South Carolina Beaches! In July, we spent a week in Myrtle Beach, SC. Grandmom Ro and Grandpop Tim drove down from NJ, Aunt Tracey and Uncle John drove down from NY and Grandmom and Grandpop Jeskie flew in from Florida. It was nice and hot beach weather. We enjoyed the beaches, pool, boardwalk with big ferris wheel, Broadway at the Beach with MagiQuest, playing Bingo in the evenings and spending lots of time with family.
We spent the day at Legoland Discovery Center with Mrs. Jamie, Brooklyn and Adalyn. It just opened this year in Atlanta. Legos are the boys' favorite toy so it was a great day for them! We got to see how Legos are made, see a re-creation of Atlanta and nearby attractions made of Legos, see a Lego 4D movie, ride a Lego Harry Potter ride, make and race Lego vehicles, play on the Lego City playground, etc.
A perfect Mother's Day present- tickets to Yankees vs. Braves for the family! It was our 1st visit to Turner Field where the Atlanta Braves play. My little Yankees fans enjoyed the game. Unfortunately, we missed the exciting end to the game that led to a Yankees win...Go Yankees!
Aidan and Nolan had a sleepover at Parker's house. It was Nolan's 1st sleepover!
Miss Amy built them a fort in Parker's room. Everyone survived the night and enjoyed a pancake breakfast the next morning....Aidan had a little pancake with his syrup!
We had beautiful Naples beach mornings and evenings near Uncle David's Beach Store.
We also visited Sanibel Island. The boys had fun searching for the best shells!
